AC6000 Complete Air Cleansing System by Germ Guardian

Germ Guardian® Complete Air Cleansing System offers six levels of air purification. It purifies the air in your home while destroying germs and odors.
 
A dust sensor analyzes the air quality in your home by detecting dust, smoke, pollens and small particles, and automatically adjusts to the appropriate cleaning level. A pre-filter captures large particles such as lint, dust and pet hair. Next a charcoal filter removes unwanted odors from the air. The third layer of air purification; a HEPA filter, works to capture 99.97% up to .3 microns of dust mites, mold spores, pollen and pet dander. A PCO filter and UV light tube work together to kill airborne bacteria, mold and fungi. An Ionizer then releases small amounts of negative ions to freshen the air. The charcoal and HEPA filter need to be replaced every 6 months depending on use.

How It Works

  1. Dirty air enters the product.
  2. Pre-filter captures and traps large particles like pet hair and lint which lengthens the life of the other filters.
  3. The activated carbon filter (black) is the best type of air filter for trapping chemicals, gases, odors and cigarette smoke.
  4. Air continues to flow through the HEPA filter (white) which captures 99.97% of airborne particles such as household dust, pet dander, mold spores and plant pollens.
  5. Germicidal UV lamp (positioned behind the filters) activates the filters to destroy airborne viruses and bacteria.
  6. A safe and effective ionizer emits a small amount of negative ions to neutralize floating pollutants
  7. The purified air is accelerated into the air.

I suffer from allergies. Will  this product help?
This Complete Air Cleansing System (CACS) has muliple stages of air purification that are designed to take irritants out of the air such as pollen, mold, pet dander and more, while also destroying germs and odors. If you have a sensitivity to these things, you may find an added benefit in using this CACS.

What is CADR?
CADR stands for “Clean Air Delivery Rate” which indicates the volume of filtered air delivered by an air purifier. CADR ratings show the effectiveness of how efficient the air purifier is at capturing fine particles from things like tobacco smoke and plant pollens from the room.

Do I need to replace any filters?
It is recommended that you change the HEPA and Charcoal filter every 6 months (depending on use) to maintain an optimal level of air purification in your home.

How do I know when I should replace the filters?
It is recommended that you replace the HEPA and charcoal filter every six months (depending on use) to maintain an optimal level of air purification. There is a filter check indication light on the control panel of the unit that will light up and let you know when it’s time to change your filters.

Does the product require regular cleaning?
It is recommended that you rinse out the pre-filter and PCO filter every 2-3 months. Make sure the filters are completely dry before placing them in the unit for use. There is also a dust sensor in the unit that is recommended to be cleaned periodically to maintain its effectiveness. Easy directions for maintenance of the product and cleaning directions can be found in the product user manual.

Where should I use the product?
This product is recommended for indoor use only. Most people like to put the unit in rooms of their house where they spend the most amount of time such as the living room, bedroom and kitchen area.

How long is the warranty?
The warranty is 2-years limited. For detailed warranty specifications please refer to the warranty section in the instruction manual.
